Alvaro Lopez Rodriguez is a Lecturer in Architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, with a focus on the integration of digital and automation technologies in architecture. He holds a Master of Architecture from The Bartlett and is currently pursuing a PhD at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. His research, centered on "Digital Craftmanship: Architecture for the Augmented Era," explores the intersection of robotics, 3D printing, and augmented reality to revolutionize architectural design and construction. Alvaro has extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development, having led Research Cluster 9 at The Bartlett, where he supervises innovative design projects that often receive prestigious awards. In addition to his academic roles, he has consulted on digital manufacturing for leading architectural firms such as Nagami or Ensamble Studio and also participated in international exhibitions. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at global conferences, making significant contributions to the field of digital architecture.
