Computational Design in Railway Simulations: Challenges and Hope in Timetable Engineering
DC I/O 2022 Workshop
Abstract
The environment of Railway Timetabling is dynamic with a fundamental need for adaptability on short notice. An excellent example where the use of computational design would be very beneficial. However, its use is still limited, many human actions are still necessary and progress is rather slow. During this workshop, you will get acquainted with the Railway industry, and its challenges for computational design and together, we will find solutions to these challenges.

About
As a Digital Rail consultant, I am driven to strengthen the accessibility through sustainable and affordable transport. In this process, I like to translate complex issues such as timetable design into understandable language. These ingredients inspire me to work with enthusiasm. Public transport is distinctive in sustainability and equality. With further development and innovation, this will become the norm for future transport.
